"An Evening with Ebenezer Scrooge" is a captivating one-man retelling of Charles Dickens' timeless classic "A Christmas Carol." Starring Jody McKewen, who masterfully brings to life every beloved character—from the miserly Scrooge to the lively Fezziwig, the haunting spirits, and beyond—this performance offers a fresh and intimate perspective on the redemption story. Told through the eyes of Ebenezer Scrooge himself, the play invites audiences to journey through his memories and revelations, rediscovering the power of compassion, community, and hope. 

Jody McKewen


Jody McKewen was born and raised in the hills of Northeast Mississippi. He began acting at a young age. His first radio appearance was as Donald Duck at 9 years old. He has performed in theatre and short films all over the Southern United States and in England. In addition, he has done VoiceOver work for clients across the country. In 1983, he was awarded the coveted Magnolia Award for best actor in a musical for his portrayal of Billy Crocker in Cole Porter's "Anything Goes."

An avid Dickens reader, Jody adapted "A Christmas Carol" as an audiobook, and then as a live performance that has been delighting audiences for 15 years.
